How to verify a BAFE Registered Organisation

Information on how to verify a BAFE Registered Organisation and how to find their BAFE organisation ID number.

All BAFE Registered Organisations have an issued unique identification number which can be used to verify all their current/valid registrations to BAFE competency schemes.

BAFE Registered Organisations, where appropriate, will display their BAFE registered organisation logo which will feature a blue bar. This bar will have a 6 digit organisation ID number which can be used with the BAFE Fire Safety Register verification tool.

Important Information

Please note that verification is important to clarify any claims of BAFE Registration. Where there are instances of claims of "BAFE trained engineers" (or other similar terms) this may be referring to instances of passing the BS 5306 exam "Theory and practice of servicing portable fire extinguishers". Passing this exam alone does not permit any individuals or organisations to claim BAFE Registration, which is clearly stated on the exam certification awarded. If you require any further clarification on certification presented during your verification process, please contact the BAFE office where we would be able to help on this matter.

What is the BS 5306 exam?

If an organisation is not displaying this version of the BAFE logo, you can also verify a registered organisation using a BAFE competency scheme registration certificate number, or the organisation’s name.
