Cabinet Office moves to further protect suppliers after coronavirus

A new Procurement Policy Note (PPN) has been published by the Cabinet Office to further protect suppliers during and after the coronavirus outbreak.

BAFE welcomes this initiative to protect the vital provision of fire safety services during the Coronavirus outbreak. Many companies are suffering the financial consequences of being unable to carry out routine work. However, they recognise that when more normal circumstances return, that there will be a high demand for their services to catch up with maintenance work that is required under statutory and insurance obligations. As a consequence they will need to be able to protect their business and staff to address this workload.

Legal obligations nationwide require the appointed responsible person for fire safety for commercial/non-domestic premises to have adequate fire protection.
