Check requirements – download and read the BAFE SP206 Scheme Document. Organisation competence requirements are listed within the document (Clause 7). For this scheme you do not need ISO9001 certification. However, you are required to have robust quality Management Systems in place. This is explained in the scheme document (Clause 19).
Contact NSI directly to discuss assessment and cost for this (BAFE fees are included within their assessment costs). NSI, as the BAFE licensed Certification Body for SP206, deliver the scheme office assessment and will also want to see evidence of work undertaken. On satisfactory completion of the assessment the applicant company will be awarded third party certification to the scope of BAFE SP206.

When you have achieved third party certification to the scope of SP206, NSI will contact BAFE directly with this information.
Your company will then be added to the BAFE Fire Safety Register online, which will enable all users searching for Third Party Certificated BAFE Registered Companies for this service to access your information.
BAFE will then send out a welcome pack including your BAFE Registration Certificate. At this point you will be permitted to display the SP206 BAFE logo and promote your BAFE Registration (please contact BAFE for digital versions of the BAFE SP206 logo for use on web/print/vehicles – multiple file types are available on request).
Once registered, your company will be subject to ongoing surveillance assessments by NSI to ensure that you continue to comply with the scheme requirements.
Please note this scheme is operated by UKAS accredited Certification Body NSI on our behalf and BAFE Registration fees will be included with the Certification Body assessment total cost. Please discuss this with NSI for more information.
