BAFE SP101 Fire Extinguisher Service Scheme – Health and Safety and Asbestos Awareness


Organisations who wish to obtain BAFE SP101 Registration must have registered fire extinguisher technicians with accepted health and safety and asbestos awareness training.

Organisations who wish to obtain BAFE SP101 Registration must have registered fire extinguisher technicians with accepted health and safety and asbestos awareness training.

 

Only training which is accredited by the listed bodies will be acceptable under the BAFE SP101 scheme.

Health and Safety

Training should be undertaken by health and safety training providers that are accredited from one of the following bodies:

 

 

BAFE will also accept the following safety schemes held for health and safety:

 

 

Health & Safety training will need to be renewed in accordance with the training providers’ guideline or recommendation.

Asbestos Awareness

Training should be undertaken by asbestos awareness training providers that are accredited from one of the following bodies:

 

 

BAFE will allow five years validity from date of issue of an asbestos awareness training certificate regardless of expiry date (for asbestos awareness only). Evidence of update training in the form of a toolbox talk or similar will be required by BAFE assessors when conducting technician assessments.

Additional accreditation organisations and clarification of requirements may be added to this guidance in the future at BAFE’s discretion in accordance with BAFE and the BAFE SP101 Monitoring Group. If you feel another accreditation body for training providers should be added to the accepted list, please contact the BAFE Office info@bafe.org.uk with appropriate information.
