This was a study performed by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service lead by Assistant Chief Officer Lewis Ramsay (Director of Prevention and Protection) with a number of partners including BAFE and the FIA.

The FIA suggested to the Scottish Business Engagement Forum to begin this study to understand the reasons for false fire alarm signals and to recommend changes to be implemented to allow SFRS to perform other important duties.
