News for Responsible Persons and their Fire Safety Responsibilities

Section 156 of the Building Safety Act 2022

Fire safety responsibilities under Section 156 of the Building Safety Act 2022 came into force on 01/10/2023.

The Home Office has previously published guidance for Responsible Persons regarding Section 156 of the Building Safety Act 2022:

The Fire Safety Order: enforcement and sanctions for non-compliance guidance document explains how the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (as amended) is enforced and advises of the sanctions that are available to Enforcing Authorities if you fail to comply with this legislation.
