BAFE SP101 Scheme Information - Fire Extinguisher Technician Assessments

Please note that from 1st January 2024, with the recent update to BS 5306-8, all fire extinguisher assessments will be carried out observing the updated version of this British Standard (BS 5306-8).

All employed fire extinguisher technicians, in line with the BAFE SP101 Scheme, shall be required to have access to the latest version. Fire extinguisher technicians during assessments shall be required to answer any questions in-line with the current relevant British Standards.

BAFE BS 5306 Fire Extinguisher Exam Information

The BAFE BS 5306 Fire Extinguisher Exam will be updated to reflect the recent update to BS 5306-8. Any exam changes shall come into effect from 1st January 2024.

As the updated version of BS 5306-8 came into effect on 30th November 2023, any theory/practical resits following 1st January 2024 will also use the updated exam.
