BAFE Kitchen Fire Protection Consultation now live
Friday 12th January 2018
Press Release 12/01/2018
BAFE, the independent register of quality fire safety service providers, has acknowledged an increase in market demand for recognised competency regarding organisations who provide kitchen fire protection works. In January 2017, a scheme development working group was established, chaired by Dr Jim Glockling (RISCAuthority Director and FPA Technical Director), with representatives from the industry including manufacturers, installers and certification bodies with additional input from insurers and trade bodies.
The proposed BAFE SP206 scheme covers the design, installation, commissioning, recharge and maintenance of kitchen fire protection systems. This draft document is now ready for public comment and BAFE invite feedback on the newly developed scheme.
To download the proposed SP206 draft scheme document in full please visit the BAFE website page www.bafe.org.uk/SP206. Information on how to comment regarding the document can be found here also.
The consultation is live from 12th January 2018 for six weeks, closing Friday 23rd February 2018 (11:45pm).
