Tom Carroll - Chief Executive Officer, QFSM, MIFireE
Tom Carroll joined BAFE as their first CEO in March 2008 bringing extensive experience and understanding of the fire industry with him. Tom's background is within the Fire and Rescue Service and in the 30 years service rose to become Chief Fire Officer for Cambridgeshire. Former President of CFOA Tom was awarded the Queen's Fire Service Medal in 2002.
Peter Bollons - BAFE Schemes Administrator
Peter Bollons is the Schemes Administrator and is responsible for controlling all aspects of the BAFE Schemes including registrations and assessments. Peter is a member of The Institute of Marketing and has spent most of his working career in the Fire Protection Industry.
Roger Wilton - Technical and Quality Manager
Roger joined BAFE in January 2007 to manage the technical and quality assurance arm of the business. Roger has held a variety of fire engineering positions from design engineer and independent consultant, to asset engineer with London Underground where he was responsible for fire safety. He is a Chartered Fire Engineer and a Fellow of the Institute of Fire Prevention Officers.
Christine Scott - Schemes Secretary
Christine joined the BAFE team as Schemes Secretary in January 2005 having had a career in secretarial work in which she gained a wide range of experience. This experience is ideal in contributing the smooth operation of BAFE with responsibilities including the maintenance of schemes records, the issuing of various scheme and technicians certificates, diplomas and ID cards. Christine is the type of individual found in many efficient organisations, the type that contributes by handling the day to day queries and crises smoothly and effectively.
Frank Jackson - Verifier
Frank is a national verifier and is responsible for assessing and verifying those companies accredited under the BAFE schemes SP101/ST104, ensuring that the high standards demanded by BAFE are regularly monitored and maintained. Based in Nottingham Frank is one of the team that covers the whole of the UK. He has a varied engineering background, including mechanical, electrical and production work. During his career he spent 14 years as a fire extinguisher service technician before taking on responsibilities that included training and assessing technicians and carrying out site audits of their work
Peter Chilton - Verifier
Peter is a verifier who has more than 30 years fire industry experience, including 25 years with fire extinguisher company Fire Protection Services where he was Operations Director. He is responsible for assessing and verifying technicians accredited under the BAFE ST104 (Registered Technician Scheme for the Maintenance of Portable Fire Extinguishers), ensuring that the high standards demanded by BAFE are regularly monitored and maintained. He will work within the North London, Home Counties and Essex areas.
Peter Cant - Verifier
Peter is a verifier who joined BAFE in 2001 after a distinguished career in the South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service where he held the position of Training Manager in the Commercial and Industrial Training Section of the Brigade. Peter is based in Rotherham concentrating his activities on the all important task of verifying the assessments carried out by other team members so ensuring that each fire extinguisher service technician is thoroughly checked prior to them being awarded the prestigious Registered Technician status.
