Stephen is General and Marketing Manager responsible for all aspects of the day to day management of BAFE and for developing product markets in the Fire Safety industry. He has a wide commercial background, together with security industry Trade As... Moresociation experience as Membership and Marketing Director of BSIA. He was a regional General Manager of Thorn Fire and Security and also Divisional managing Director of a specialist print company with wide export activity. He seeks to ensure wide appreciation of the value of 3rd party verification for Fire safety products and services and to develop the recognition for BAFE quality and independence with registered companies, certification bodies and other key industry stakeholders.
As Technical Schemes Manager, Tony is responsible for the administration and review of the current BAFE schemes and for the development of new schemes to meet industry standards. Tony has wide technical, standards and commercial experience and his most recent role at the Electrical Safety Council was to establish an office base and deliver a programme of awareness-raising across a broad spectrum of stakeholders throughout Scotland. His previous experience will also stand him in good stead for his role with BAFE having spent 13 years with the British Standards Institution (BSI) where he became the Strategic Development Manager.

Peter also co-ordinates the examination invigilation and processes that BAFE provides for a number of organisations who offer training for portable extinguisher technicians to meet the requirements of BS5306-3.
