This is an introductory and intensive course on the principles of fire extinguishing, including:
- Theory of fire extinguishing
- Different extinguishing methods and media
- System types
- Safety and environmental aspects
- System configuration and design
- Interaction with detection systems
- Principles of actuation
- Portable fire extinguishers
- Local application and total flood systems
- Alternative solutions to fire engineering in the light of Halon removal
This course is ideally suited to fire alarm sales engineers, end users, consultants, specifiers, insurers and people from a portable extinguisher background. It also acts as a companion course to those engineers that are attending, or have attended, the CCC course on Halon decommissioning.
