Unit 5 Fire Alarm Maintenance - 1 day
For service and maintenance engineers and electricians who work on fire detection and alarm systems to BS 5839 Part 1 (2002). This new Code of Practice contains revised recommendations on maintenance over a 12 month period. The maintenance course will also be of interest to many facilities managers.
This Unit includes:

- A section on false alarms and how to assist the user in avoidance
- The responsibilities and competence of the maintenance engineer

- Testing power supplies, measuring current loadings
- Calculating battery capacity, testing batteries
- Documenting the results on service report forms and log books
- Servicing certificate and recommended action
