BS 5839 part 1 (2002) Update Course
For a limited period only an Update Course for existing FIA certificate holders (excluding Halon Decommissioning) will be available. The course will not be open to non certificate holders.
This course will cover the important difference between the 1988 Code and the new 2002 Code, including:
- The additional Categories of protection (L5 and L4)
- Clarification on manual call point positioning
- Detector coverage
- New monitoring and integrity recommendations for circuits
- Detector zone size
- The new alarm zones
- Relaxations in alarm levels
- The new section on limiting false alarms
- Cable grades
- Recommendations for maintenance over a 12 month period
- New certification
