Stephen Adams - General & Marketing Manager
Stephen is General and Marketing Manager responsible for all aspects of the day to day management of BAFE and for developing product markets in the Fire Safety industry. He has a wide commercial background, together with security industry Trade Association experience as Membership and Marketing Director of BSIA. He was a regional General Manager of Thorn Fire and Security and also Divisional managing Director of a specialist print company with wide export activity. He seeks to ensure wide appreciation of the value of 3rd party verification for Fire safety products and services and to develop the recognition for BAFE quality and independence with registered companies, certification bodies and other key industry stakeholders.
Tony Maskens - Technical Schemes Manager
As Technical Schemes Manager, Tony is responsible for the administration and review of the current BAFE schemes and for the development of new schemes to meet industry standards. He works with technical experts within the industry and other stakeholders and responds to technical enquiries from BAFE members and others. Tony has wide technical, standards and commercial experience and his most recent role at the Electrical Safety Council was to establish an office base and deliver a programme of awareness-raising across a broad spectrum of stakeholders throughout Scotland. His previous experience will also stand him in good stead for his role with BAFE having spent 13 years with the British Standards Institution (BSI) where he became the Strategic Development Manager.
Yvonne Williams - Schemes and Finance Administrator
Yvonne is the Schemes and Accounts Administrator with the task of maintaining BAFE client accounts, supporting schemes and examination documentation and providing the vital first point of contact with customers and Assessors. Yvonne brings wide ranging knowledge in Finance, Human Resources and Administration from a number of different industry sectors, including her most recent position as HR Officer for an international Water treatment and service Group.
Frank Jackson - Verifier
Frank is a national verifier and is responsible for assessing and verifying those companies accredited under the BAFE schemes SP101/ST104, ensuring that the high standards demanded by BAFE are regularly monitored and maintained. Based in Nottingham Frank is one of the team that covers the whole of the UK. He has a varied engineering background, including mechanical, electrical and production work. During his career he spent 14 years as a fire extinguisher service technician before taking on responsibilities that included training and assessing technicians and carrying out site audits of their work
Peter Chilton - Verifier
Peter is a verifier who has more than 30 years fire industry experience, including 25 years with fire extinguisher company Fire Protection Services where he was Operations Director. He is responsible for assessing and verifying technicians accredited under the BAFE ST104 (Registered Technician Scheme for the Maintenance of Portable Fire Extinguishers), ensuring that the high standards demanded by BAFE are regularly monitored and maintained. He will work within the North London, Home Counties and Essex areas.
Peter Cant - Verifier
Peter is a verifier who joined BAFE in 2001 after a distinguished career in the South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service where he held the position of Training Manager in the Commercial and Industrial Training Section of the Brigade. Peter is based in Rotherham concentrating his activities on the all important task of verifying the assessments carried out by other team members so ensuring that each fire extinguisher service technician is thoroughly checked prior to them being awarded the prestigious Registered Technician status.
